Today we’ve launched a new collection with Girl with the Green Bow.
The Girl with the Green Bow is Rebecca Patterson who was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease in August 2016.
When diagnosed, she was 19 years of age, and lived and breathed hairdressing. Excelling and moving forward so quickly in her career and playing netball in between. Rebecca’s symptoms began as she started losing her voice, and a short week later struggling for breath constantly and severe chest pains. Since this diagnosis, her symptoms progressed and now suffers from severe fatigue, and muscle aches and pains (just like Mito Merch owner).
In late 2017, Rebecca and her best friend started blogging her journey and making it public, to help family members and friends keep up to date with her health, but to also raise awareness for Mitochondrial Disease and those things that she finds to help everyday life with mito that little bit more bearable.
The Bow collection is inspired by Girl with the Green Bow, with a whole new range including tees, onesies and a tote, and much more! Rebecca lives by the motto ‘mito picked the wrong diva’. So we have customisable designs for ‘mito picked the wrong…’ family, parents, brother, auntie and more!
To keep up to date with Rebecca’s journey, follow her blog on facebook ‘Girl with the Green Bow’.
